I'm having trouble getting Openlayers to zoom to a polygon extent using "map.zoomToExtent(vector.getDataExtent());" The object parsed as WKT loads and displays fine but I want to zoom to the polygon extent. I have a bunch of these to do, so manually setting it is not an option.

This is an adaptation of the standard WKT parsing example.

just figured out what my problem is. I'm using deprecated functions in openlayers 3. My bad.

Here is a post that describes how to achieve what I want:

And here is the code that works:

var extent = vector.getSource().getExtent();
map.getView().fitExtent(extent, map.getSize());
