I would like to ask how can I convert a point symbol to polygon. I have the capital city (point symbol) and I want to visualize it as a polygon, for better cartographic representation. I'm using ArcGis 10.2.2.

What do you mean by 'surface'? I'm not sure I understand the context. Can you post a screenshot of how you'd want it to look? – Midavalo Jun 5 '16 at 22:53

Do you mean a polygon? Also known as an area or region? – Fezter Jun 6 '16 at 0:49
  • Yes I mean a polygon. I have found the solution. In order to make a correct cartographic representation of a city as polygon, one must use the digitization tool and take into account the scale of the map. – NikosGr May 18 at 9:12
