I have a cylindrical equidistant projection map containing climate data(equal angle and equal distances). On this projection I have a straight line connecting two latitude and longitude points.

How do I calculate the angle between this line and the line of longitude of this grid ?

I am requesting the equation/algorithm for this problem because I do not know whether the cosine of the angle between the line vector and the longitude line is enough or whether the projection of the map has a role in this as well.
