I try to apply the apply the function of raster to vector from "Raster -> Conversion -> Polygonize", but it appears like follows: An error has occurred while executing Python code: UnicodeDecodeError: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xb2 in position 19: ordinal not in range(128)

Traceback (most recent call last):

Python version: 2.7.14 (v2.7.14:84471935ed, Sep 16 2017, 20:25:58) [MSC v.1500 64 bit (AMD64)]

QGIS version: 2.18.24 Las Palmas, ff5bd09ab3

And it asks for add more algorithms to the toolbox, enable additional providers... What can I do?

  • how did you install qgis? – Mapperz Sep 27 '18 at 18:35
  • Does your filename contain non-standard characters? ie: accented characters, UTF-8 characters? Python2.7 has a harder time handling these things than Python3.x. – Trevor J. Smith Sep 27 '18 at 18:37
