I have downloaded Level 1 temporal datasets from Landsat 5, 7 and 8. My target is to calculate the NVDI and compare it over time with more indices at the same AOI.

As the Landsat Level 1 collections are consistently georegistered but the image-to-image tolerances is ≦ 12-meter radial root mean square error (RMSE), do I still have to do image to image registration?

I have read other posts about co-registration but it did not help me to figure out what is the right thing to do. I am confused and since I am a beginner I am not sure.

Is there a way to check the datasets in ArcMap, if I need to process image to image registration for my research?

If not image to image registration, would radiometric normalization help to have accurate results when I will plot the time series?
