I have a large set of 4-band high resolution NAIP imagery that I had put into a mosaic and am now trying to create a raster using the Mosaic to New Raster tool. When run the tool just says 'mosaic is loading'... and that it was succeeded 10 hours later. When going to the gdb that I wanted to place the raster tif into, the raster doesn't exist. It was like it never ran although ArcGIS Desktop history says it had. I had run a larger set of data through the tool on 3-band imagery and had no issue. I think I am having a similar issue to the question posed here: Mosaic to New Raster doesn't actually output anything

Does anyone know why this is happening? Is there a parameter that I am missing?

why are you trying to export the mosaic file into a new raster? I'm curious. I just created a mosaic file out of nearly 1000 tiff tiles (250GB total) and to view the data I just pull in the mosaic file I created into my arcmap and it work fine.

  • I am trying to export the imagery as a .tif so it can be loaded into eCognition Developer. I had written the ruleset in eCognition to take in one image file of my study area. – Rena Nicole Nov 23 '19 at 22:22
