I am new to QGIS, and using version 3.10

I have about 36 vector layers so far. With more than about 5 layers open, it is difficult to identify what the round green dot means. I am thinking that there may be better symbols. As far as I can tell, I am supposed to click settings | style manager | import/export, click import and point to an XML file. I have googled for XML symbol files and I am not finding any.

The information in Is there a SVG symbol library for QGIS? is out of date.

What am I missing?

  • Welcome to GIS SE! We're a little different from other sites; this isn't a discussion forum but a Q&A site. Please check out our short tour to learn about our focussed Q&A format. If you are looking for an SVG symbol library to use with QGIS then I think this is a duplicate of gis.stackexchange.com/questions/32734/… irrespective of the age of that Q&A. – PolyGeo Dec 5 '19 at 0:54
