My client has ArcGIS 10.2 and PostGIS with features classes in them. They also have a lot of LYR files that point to these features classes. When I reproject the features classes in PostGIS, the LYR files still show the features classes, but they have no features into them. If I reproject them to the original projection, the features come back. It's strange because LYR files do not contain data, just links to features classes.

I tried to update the datasource using ArcPY with the same data source as the original, just to "push" ArcGIS to refresh its information. And even though it works on my PC, at my client, their database and LYR aren't the same as mine and I can't get it to work, I don't know why.

My main concern is to find a way to get the LYR files to work again. If I can do it without programming, it would be even better.
