Good morning,

I would like to georeference my image in QGIS. I know the process, but I don't know which transformation type & resembling method should I use.

I found some answer here: Transformation types in geo-referencing of QGIS?

but unfortunately with no sensible example.

I tried a few types and methods but every time I am getting an error when I want to input to Google Earth. As a result, enter image description here my layer is hung in the space.

In QGIS the result is also weird.

I want to georeference this layer to the village in the UK. For this purpose, I set EPSG27700 British National Grid as a CRS. It didn't help. Any ideas?

UPDATE:

Georeferencing process

After selection of the points I selected the transformation type and saved the file. Next...

Have you made sure your project is also in National Grid? – Erik Jun 26 at 9:41
  • yes it is: EPSG27700 – MKR Jun 26 at 9:49
  • as @Erik says it looks like the projection is wrong OSGB references are never negative like the one shown (partially) in your screen shot. – Ian Turton Jun 26 at 9:49
  • can you give us more detail on how you are georeferencing - what is your current base map? – Ian Turton Jun 26 at 9:50
  • Ok i uploaded additional images. My current base map is Ordnance Survey – MKR Jun 26 at 9:58
