I have:

  1. A population density grid raster file converted to point shapefile.
  2. And a vector grid and used zonal statistics to estimate the total population in each grid cell.

I want to mask out or remove areas with the total population which does not meet a certain density criteria per square kilometer (let say >15000 /km2).

I did not find any feature in the attributes table that corresponds to any attribute feature of a different shapefile hence I am unbale to merge or join by attribute.

How do I get only population >1500 per sq. km as the output shapefile for the point shapefile to be used for further analysis?
