I need to convert an hdf4 file by MODIS, the MOD13A3 v006 (NDVI Index). In particular, I'm interested in the block "h18v04", which is north-west Europe. You can download the example file I'm using in this question here (16 MB).
What I've done, taking inspiration by this already asked question, is the following python script:
