I downloaded images from the Landsat8 level-2 satellite because I want to segment glacial bodies, since I have not been able to find an available dataset I want to create a dataset, but I do not want to make mistakes because creating a dataset requires a lot of time.

First I want to rotate the Landsat images until they are framed so that I can crop them to a size of 256x256. Perhaps I mistakenly think that if I rotate the images it could cause a loss in the reflectance characteristics or other important characteristics of the image, that is why I want to ask for your recommendation, do you recommend that I rotate the Landsat8 images and then crop them to a size of 256x256 or will this rotation cause problems when analyzing the glacier cover?

I attach images of the procedure I want to follow.

I want to process the images using only Python and then a CNN to segment the glacial bodies.

Which software did you use or are you asking for which software you need to use?
