In my research I've found these two, which are only explaining the basics.

And of course the native (but short) tutorials and examples on the GeoExt website.

Can anyone know about other resources?

  • You can check this also geoext.org/tutorials – Sunil Mar 28 '13 at 4:54
  • Thanks Sunil, but I've already included it in my question as "native tutorial on GeoExt website" – Benedek Simo Mar 28 '13 at 12:05
  • You'll have to explain what you mean by a "good tutorial". Are there any topics that you want to see in particular? – R.K. May 2 '13 at 8:06

Most official examples enough to learn if you examine code. Because they only cover map part, don't expect lessons about ExtJS (the JavaScript Library behind) For this, see manning book ExtJS in Action and packt publishing Learning ExtJS 3.2 – ThomasG77 May 19 '13 at 9:20
  • Did you try to find video tutorials on Youtube? – user5332 Apr 5 '14 at 8:18

Most official examples (link updated for OpenLayers 3 et a more recent ExtJS version e.g 6.x) are enough to learn if you examine code.

  • Is ExtJS for free? I think their site gives a trial version – Stefanos Feb 9 '17 at 20:16
  • You have 2 versions: one with commercial support and one with GPL licence. Go to sencha.com/legal/GPL to get the code (need to register) or use this copy at github github.com/tremez/extjs-gpl – ThomasG77 Feb 9 '17 at 23:46
