How can I show the flow coming from an Origin-Destination matrix as desire lines? I need a result like the one in the picture below.

desire lines

I need to scale them proportionally to its value (coming from a linked MDB) and I like that the lines are a bit curved (but I can use straight lines too).

  • Have you already created the linework and just need to symbolize the lines, or do you need to create the linework as well? Jun 20, 2013 at 17:55

This question is unique and should remain open because the OP is asking how to scale the flow lines proportional to values in addition to inquiring about curved flow lines.

Try using the QGIS plugin Flowmapper. The attached image is a sample from the plugin documentation.

    That's a very cool plugin.

Flowmapper desperately needs a new interface. For instance, why is it taking text files from the system as an input? Why not use centroid shapefiles in the browser. Feb 28, 2018 at 19:37
