I originally posted this as Install Opengeo 3.0.1 in ubuntu 12.04, but I thought it would be best to ask a new question . If I should have simply posted on the other forum, my apologies.
I am also having issues installing OG on Ubuntu 12.04.
When I run:
apt-get install opengeo
I get the following:
Reading package lists... Done Building dependency tree Reading state information... Done Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable distribution that some required packages have not yet been created or been moved out of Incoming. The following information may help to resolve the situation: The following packages have unmet dependencies: opengeo : Depends: opengeo-server (>= 4.0.0) but it is not going to be installed E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
This is my first time using Linux.
