I used Google to draw directions from one location to another location, but can't find a way to export it as KML so I can import it into my Android smartphone.

Is there a way, or must directions be drawn in Google (Maps | MapsEngine)?

Scroll all the way to the bottom of the directions and click "Save to My Maps"/"Ajouter à "Mes cartes"". You'll have to choose an existing map of yours or create a new one. It will take you to your newly saved map and from there you can download the KML file.

  • Thanks. The "Save to My Maps" is only available when drawing a route in Google Maps, not plain Google. Thank you.

This feature was removed in Google Maps Classic, and is not available in Google Maps Engine Lite (a.k.a. "Google Maps New").

Using https://www.google.com/mymaps has the option to export to KML or KMZ, but only if you built your directions in the mymaps interface.
