Conditional, also known as Con, is a raster processing tool or expression that evaluates an if/else condition on each cell in the raster, choosing one result (or values from raster A) if the condition is true and another (or values from raster B) if it is false.

Two examples include:

  • ArcGIS includes a dedicated Con tool in the Spatial Analyst Extension.
  • QGIS' RasterCalc plugin offers Con functionality although the default Raster Calculator does not.
