The Planet API by Planet Labs provides access to medium-resolution satellite imagery of Earth. Most imagery has been captured by Planet Labs' own constellation of satellites, but Landsat 8 imagery is also available through the API. Planet Labs provides some data free of charge using an API key, but a paid subscription is required for access to the full imagery catalog.
