Eric is a forester graduated with praise by the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV (2001 - 2005), master of forest resources also at UFV (2005 - 2006) and doctor in Forest Resources at University of São Paulo - USP (2011 - 2014). Currently, he is a professor and researcher in the Universidade Federal dos Vales do Jequitinhonha e Mucuri (UFVJM). He teaches Forest Optimization and Natural Forest Management. Has over 10 years experience in forest management. Participated in projects in CENIBRA (2005), Arcelor Mittal (2005), Suzano Papel e Celulose (2004) TreeSoftware (2003-2006), Votorantim Metais (2006-2008) and Companhia Vale do Araguaia (2008-2011). Eric participates in international research network within the National Institute of Space Reaserch (INPE), the University of São Paulo (USP) and the University of Eastern Finland. He worked as professor in Agribusiness and Management at Faculdades Cathedral (2009-2014) and since 2011 mantain two MOOC's focused on computation in R and geographic information systems.
