I'm a Software Engineer that enjoys talking about software and design as much as I love making it. I worked in the U.S. Marines for 6 years and did a tour in Iraq. My job there was establishing computer network infrastructure for field operations. Of course after the network was up you become an IT guy and that's when I realized I wanted to do more than fix people's computers and learn how to use software, I wanted to make that software.
After returning I pursued my BS/MS in CS. I didn't know what I was getting into but I loved it more and more with each passing year. As I went through school I really fell in love with data science along with engineering. It is now my goal to split my career software engineering and transition to data science some where down the road.
I also enjoy playing music. I play guitar, bass, harmonica, a little keys, a little mandolin. Being in a band was where I first started making websites, applying team leading skills, and a couple management skills as well.
