Field is a string. The query displayed works just fine, but I want a user to simply query for 'CKT54', not the coded value. The 'CKT69KV' value is working correctly.
@RyanDalton I went with your suggestion. It certainly isn't the perfect solution, but it works. I'll need to run through all of the features and assign an ID to one of the parallel lines (in each set) and then generate a rule.
Yep, I also looked using some of the merge tools, to create a new symbology class for those features that are actually parallel lines. That might be the route I need to go.
Aaron, thanks a great deal. Just for my own clarification, when is the syntax for listofnames doing? Your creating a list, and the 'name for line in reader' seems to make sense, but why does it need to be repeated?
I was able to do that for fake phone number generation, but it gets tricky with names. I was thinking the best way would be to have a list of fake names in a csv, rather than trying to generate names.
