GIS/Web Developer with a Masters degree in GIS. FOSS GIS technologist, particularly PostGIS, Python and JavaScript. I've worked in econometric and transportation research, meteorology, oceanography, and now in geographical and ecological systems as a full-stack GIS developer. Currently getting my feet wet with linked data. Wish I got to do more creative data visualisation. Wish more people took scientific reproducibility seriously.

I don't think I've ever felt the need to ever use a third-person pronoun on this site. For all I know, you're actually an axolotl flopping about on a keyboard who has somehow managed to login. To keep the mosquitoes away, please don't use pronouns to refer to me on this website, and I won't use pronouns to refer to you. I'll "@ you" and you "@ me", which has the additional compelling benefit of sending each other notifications. Now we're all happy and no one is compelled to write in a way that violates one's conscience in a context where this issue simply shouldn't matter. If thou still insisteth that I adopt a third-person pronoun in order to perform our interlocutory function, I'm likely to instead start using deliberate but neutral second-person pronominal anachronisms including, but not limited to, "one", "oneself", "ye", "thine", "thy", "thee", and "thou", such is my preference, which by thine own logic thou art morally obliged to respecteth. If thou still objecteth, je parlerai en français.

SINS: Spatial Is Not Special

Spatial data processing simply is a branch in computing between many others: and spatial data are too much strategic and pervasive to be confined to niche applications.
