Largely due to where I work, most of my GIS experience is with ArcGIS. I have been working with ArcGIS for Desktop for over a decade now and in the last five years or so have taught myself how to use Python with it out of laziness. I hate repetitive tasks. Mostly out of pure stubbornness, I figured out how to make the computer do most of the work.

Believing the future lies in web applications, currently I am attempting to teach myself web development. Has this endeavor been successful? Right now I would say it is a draw. Fortunately I am stubborn and continue to persist, trying to learn as much as I can get my hands on and liberally cursing the computer.
