I'm a data scientist and ecologist working as a statistician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service, located on the campus of N.C. State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. Until recently I was a data scientist at SESYNC in Annapolis, Maryland, supporting interdisciplinary researchers at the crossroads of social and environmental sciences. I also do my own research using big open data to study the environmental footprint of the food system and how humans are affecting natural communities of organisms. I contribute to a few different R packages including rslurm and ggalluvial. Ask me about string figures, Irish trad music, and birding!
