I am a certified Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Professional (GISP) working as a GIS Analyst at a private environmental consulting firm and have over four years of professional GIS experience. My main areas of expertise include conducting GIS analysis using ESRI and open source GIS technologies, Python programming, research/technical writing about environmental and land use topics, and developing new ways to manage and analyze GIS data.
I received my B.S. in Environmental Studies from Virginia Commonwealth University and a certificate in GIS from George Mason University. In addition to my environmental background, I am skilled in the realm of computer science and programming and am currently working part-time and online on a Master of Liberal Arts in Information Management Systems at Harvard University Extension School where my coursework focuses on software and information system planning, design, development, and management.
