How to use updated column name from layer in styling in GeoServer
can you turn logging up to GEOTOOLS-DEV and see what the log has to say, you probably need to raise a bug report with a sample of the data or at least the names involvied along with a simple sld to test with

can you check in the SLD that the unicode is saved correctly - it's not clear from that error message what is getting the characters wrong. Do the changed names show up in the attribute list in the style editor tab?

Publishing MySQL-8 data in GeoServer, the latitude and longitude are fliped
I notice that the MySQL driver has been updated recently (github.com/geoserver/geoserver/pull/8088) so it may be worth upgrade to a recent nightly build and seeing if that fixes the issue.

Point outside of projection domain (Error 2050)
Yes, it will be more accurate than trying to pick a UTM zone

Point outside of projection domain (Error 2050)
it would be simpler to work with geography objects that will handle metres for you

SLD - Generate a PointSybolizer's geometry based on properties
I don't think there is any way to set the SRS when generating a point from text inside a SLD file. Have you tried just storing the locations in the data as geometries?

Automatically create a polygon of non-white borders from WTMS imagery
That's a picture of the data not the data so there isn't much you can do with it, except look at it.

Finding points closest to latitude and longitude using GeoPandas
working with separate lat/lon columns is usually slower (and more error prone) than using proper geometry objects that can be spatially indexed.

OpenLayers 5 sends negative values for TileCol and TileRow parameters in WMTS GetTile request to server
did you ask for a map that was bigger than the area of tiles available?

I would suspect that you are asking for a tile that is outside the grid
