My name is Nicholas. I started out as a Oklahoma County Emergency Management volunteer in 2014 where I assist in Severe Weather operations in the Okla Co EOC. From there I was hire to work for the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management where I am currently a hazard mitigation planner since May 2016. Although, I am working at the State EM office full time, I am very dedicated still to Okla Co EM.
In February 2016, I became OK-First Certified through the Oklahoma Mesonet. I love weather and storm chasing, but above all that, I love to provide situational awareness information through many different resources, whether that is through social media or communication radio's.
I have a strong interest in GIS mapping data and learning the ways in which it could benefit us in the Emergency Management field.
