I am very new to coding but not new to computers. Java and coding in general was described to me by a software engineer ever since then I have been thinking about making a switch into coding but I do not know where to start. I am interested in this line of work, I hope to make it a new career one day. I take any advice thrown at me input is always welcome. MY true end goal is to create a 2D game for mobile phones and tablets I was told Java is a great starting point.
