Mar 22, 2018 at 21:28 comment added user5858 I'm unsure to send the raw AVIRIS data to ArcMap. When I try to use the NDVI tool in ENVI I crash the program. Anyways, thanks for your help!
Mar 22, 2018 at 21:00 comment added Aaron Try calculating the index in ArcGIS using the Raster Calculator to see how the results differ.
Mar 22, 2018 at 20:59 comment added user5858 When I check with the cursor value, the strip at the edge of the band with no actual data has a value of -0. When I import this into ArcMap and set null to <-1.5 the lowest value then becomes -1.4, indicating that -1.163 isn't the null.
Mar 22, 2018 at 20:51 comment added Aaron What is the NoData value?
Mar 22, 2018 at 20:50 comment added user5858 I got the same answer. However, when I imported the band into ArcMap I couldn't find pixels <-1, and by using the identify tool all the pixels seem to be in the valid range. Could this just be an artifact of how ENVI band math works?
Mar 22, 2018 at 20:34 comment added Aaron Try the following syntax: (float(b1)-float(b2))/(float(b1)+float(b2))
Mar 22, 2018 at 20:27 comment added user5858 I'm using band math.
Mar 22, 2018 at 20:26 comment added Aaron Which tools are you using to calculate the indices?
