I am trying to install for the first time GRASS GIS and after followed all the instructions from here https://grass.osgeo.org/download/software/mac-osx/ I tried to open the GRASS application and I got this:

There are two possibilities for the "image not found" error:

  • The image in question in not yet installed (see Wiki)
  • you are hit by the SIP - System Integrity Protection - security measure which prevents some software from being installed properly. Please see the internet for suggestions how to deal with that (I'm not a Mac user) or, as an alternative use "homebrew" to install GRASS GIS
