10 years later (from the original post date) and they are still arround. I do use .NET Winforms C# hosting the WPF component. I have tried many solutions and this is the best one I found so far; for offline mapping - excelent. Small comunity, but very responsive team. It took me 4 days from geting licence to produce complex maps. The licensing model is perfect.
I have gov "customers" who still have MS Server 2008 and using ArcView on Win XP. That is exactly why this is important as some of the data I work with never be converted to newer system for foreseeable future - yet I'm trying to implement workaround to streamline and automate. I found old C libraries which can do this but need tedious work. I'm sure I'm not the only one on the planet. Some of the old data exist only as SQL backups as plain SQL dumps. I got two downvotes for this, yet no answer. If everything deviating from the "ordinary" get down votes we will not resolve anything.
