Learning GRASS GIS and converting real time sensor data to ASCII files I can then load up to GRASS GIS and overlay on USGS maps. Essentially we're developing a system to map things underground for the purpose of quickly surveying areas of interest for our clients. Our methods are crude, fast and we hope, highly informative about structures under the surface.
I am a past TAMU graduate student in Archaeology, if that means anything to anyone.
I am currently transitioning to QGIS as this seems more appropriate to my work and far easier to operate than GRASS GIS. I like easy.
