Design and development of applications in various application areas of GIS like Impact Assessment Studies, Land Information Systems, Internet GIS, Urban Planning, Urban Infrastructure Management, Traffic & Transportation, Real Estate etc. Key tasks include proposal formulation, requirement gathering, system design, technical documentation and GIS training. Good working knowledge and understanding of cartographic principles and digital map creation, civil engineering solutions, Internet GIS, digital terrain modeling etc. Sound working knowledge of most commercial GIS software. Sound understanding of various GIS formats with the knowledge to migrate data from CAD/Database combination formats and other legacy systems to a spatial database, GIS formats and vice versa using Spatial Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) tools such as FME.
