I am having a problem trying to create an ImageMosaic with GeoTIFF tiles that are stored on a separate local disk on my Geoserver server.
My data_dir is stored at the default location on the C: drive and I can create an ImageMosaic fine if the files are stored in there.
The problem is I need to store them outside on a separate local disk (D:) - when trying to create the ImageMosaic I receive the message:
"Could not list layers for this store, an error occurred retrieving them: Failed to create reader from file://D:\rasters\aerials\2008 and hints null"
I have also tried storing them on the C: drive but outside of the data_dir folder and again it gives the above message.
The confusing part is Geoserver is able to write files to the D: drive as I have my GeoWebCache directory pointing to the D: drive.
(I also tried to change the data_dir path to my D: drive but this didn't work).
I imagine there must be user / disk permission issues but I don't know what to change? Has anyone experienced these issues before?
I am using Geoserver 2.11.
