In an ArcGIS Online web map, there is the possibility to highlight in some way the elements that do not have attachments. The idea is that when you edit the element with Field Maps and add an image the symbology changes to another type. How can I do it?

There is an Arcade function that returns the attachments as an array and you can count the length of the array.

Count(Attachments($feature))

You can use this to calculate a field in the attribute table with the number of attachments. Or you can include the count calculation in a popup. But you cannot use it in the renderer to affect the symbology. Esri does not intend to fix this. Here is the bug report:
